Human life ecology depends on a real IAM me ID and Equal Time Value participation in the building and maintenance of public infrastructure and competent public decision-making. If the solutions we propose are not public, democratic, institutional and universal, they cannot solve common social problems that affect everyone's individual equal rights to life, liberty and property, and our concomitant social responsibility for Human Economic Purpose:

How does the inability to secure a fair standard of living affect one's incentive to participate and reciprocate meaningfully, and how does this implicate community vitality, sustainability, and risk exposure to social conflict and violence? Everyone has natural limitations and knows something, or can do something, that someone else doesn't know or can't do. Special abilities should be appreciated and encouraged. Competency merits leadership and humility, not unequal compensation and a license to marginalize and deprive others of fair access to provide for themselves the necessities of life and an equal standard of living.

We are told there is a lack of skilled human resources in the economy and that companies can't find good help. Interestingly, these same companies are never employee owned and always have plenty to sell, while millions upon millions are denied access to education and opportunity, without much to do except face propaganda accusations of being lazy or trying to take someone else's job. In reality, there are way too many hands and not enough living-wage jobs. In sterile economic terms, it is called a "labor surplus," and a sure recipe for civil unrest, although ruthlessly profitable for Surveillance Capitalism (Zuboff, 2019) and the selling of military-policing weapons, prepper gear, and razor wire... until environmental boundaries are too far transgressed.

“Socialism for the wealthy and Capitalism for the rest.”
English Fable

The privatization of public technology got us into this fix and reclaiming our technology makes it possible for open governance to be organized in a federated, peer-to-peer, open source network that provides inclusive participation for life-long learning and informed consensus at local, regional, and transregional scale, using open source standards of competency, responsibility rotation, and sortition allocation throughout every sector of STEAMER ecology:
